This site contains photos of the Fife villages of Lochore, Ballingry, Crosshill and Glencraig commonly known as the Benarty area. The site was built using material supplied by various sources however the majority are taken from a collection of photographs relating to the Benarty area collated by Jim Campbell and Nicholas Fox.

I’m involved in a local project, (Benarty Heritage Preservation Group) which is try to set up a resource of photos and information for the Benarty area. Please help, if have any old photos relating to the Benarty then please get in touch. I can uplift your photos and scan them and return them to you as quickly as possible. Alternatively if you have digital copies of your photos why not email them to me. Don’t throw them away or lock them away in a cupboard send them to me then they can be enjoyed by many people throughout the world.

A new item has been added to the Historical Info page. ‘Westwood’s Ballingry’ is a description of the area taken from Westwood’s Parochial Directory for the Counties of Fife and Kinross, 1862. This document also includes a list of some of the “great and the good” of Ballingry.

New photos have been added to the Recently Added Folder, an old map of the Benarty area has been to the Historical Page & Adam Hodge’s name has been added to the Hall of Fame

A new article on the footballing abilities of the Aird family by David Allan has been added to the Hall of Fame page.

A new folder has been added to the Gallery page. The folder, entitled Recently Added Photos, is where all newly uploaded photos will be held for a limited time before being transferred into their respective folders. This will make it easier for people looking for newly added photos.
